HELP DUE IN LESS THAN 4 WEEKS

Elstevenson · 05/03/2018 23:19

I’m due on the 5th of April and I STILL haven’t decided on a baby name yet. I have a little boy, Lennon James (3).
My boy names are:
Ronnie (need a middle name)
Albin Jude

Haven’t got a clue for a girl so I’m really panicking!.. I was thinking Reeney Willow but I also I love Lilly as a middle name. Will you guys give me your honest opinion (I will take no offence, I would rather here the truth). PLEASE GIVE ME SOME GIRL NAME IDEAS. They have to be very girly and pretty yet traditional. Also while we are on the subject what does everyone think to the name Lennon James?

Thanks in advance.

From your not names I prefer Albin to Ronnie. Albin wouldn't be a name I would choose and I'm not keen on having two sibblings names ending very similiarly (on and in) but I like that Albin could be shortened to Albie and I just really don't like Ronnie (unless it's a nn for a Veronica)

Girls names... both Willow and Lily are nice in the MN spot. I don't like Reeney at all though sorry.
My suggestions will be Veronica nn Ronnie lol or what about Marnie? Similar in sound and style to Reeney but feels it has a bit more of a background and more substance. Very retro chic

Good luck :)

I have a sister called Katherine but we call her reeney or Katie!

mondler · 06/03/2018 22:44

Lennon James is awesome.

For a boy how about Elwood? I like Albin (nn Albie) slightly better than Ronnie but both are nice and go with Lennon.

For girls Roxie springs to mind. If you like the Beatles then there's lots of girls names connected like Penny, Martha, Lucy, Rita, Sadie.

Both Willow and Lily are lovely names either as first or middle.

Don't stress! Many people I know didn't decide until the baby was born or even several weeks later. They just told everyone to be patient. My best friend didn't name any of her 3 dc until 3 weeks after birth. They had nicknames until then. She and her dp took 6 weeks after the birth of their third to commit to a name! They just told everyone to deal with it as they wanted to be sure before announcing it.

We took between 2 and 7 days after birth with our dc. It really is fine to take your time.

If I was to name him albin it would 100% be albi for short :)
Not overly keen on Roxie but absolutely love penny! Just don't want to look like I've revolved my children's names purely around Beatles lol. This is so hard! Thank you for you help

ealj6815 · 06/03/2018 23:08

Thank you everyone for your helpful comments, you've all come up with some beautiful names. This is so hard.
But yes maybe I do need to stop worrying so much after all as I've still got time and I'm sure the perfect name will fit when my baby arrives.

To Lenny the baby's name is currently 'the hungry bean' because when he asks 'mummy why are you eating so much?' 😂 I tell him the story of the the hungry Caterpillar but then he questions 'but why do you and daddy call it a bean' so I have now had to change the story to 'the hungry bean' and the ending ends with a baby coming out not a caterpillar 😂
