Only a couple, nice name

happytobemrsg · 04/03/2018 15:40

I know 2 adults. "Dilan" is an utter ass & "Dylan" is absolutely lovely. Don't think that's due to spelling though Grin

pipilangstrumpf · 04/03/2018 16:51

I know a female Dylan

realwoodlogs · 04/03/2018 16:55

I’ve taught many, many Dylans.

Not sure I can remember one who wasn’t naughty/annoying.

Cobee · 04/03/2018 16:57

Loads! There are 5 in DS1’s year (10yr olds), 2 in DS2’s year (9yr olds) and I think there were 2 in my DD’s year when she was in primary last year, I wouldn’t have a clue now she’s in high school.
Then outside of school, there are 3 in one of my DS’s rugby team and I know a few others as well through friends of friends etc.

AlexanderandPie · 04/03/2018 16:57

@realwoodlogs - most teachers remember the naughty children anyway, so that makes sense.

My DH really liked the name Dylan for our own DC but where we live, all names tend to get shortened to the first syllable and I couldn’t stand to have a son called ‘Dill’. I’m so glad I vetoed it now what with there being so many around that we know.

Mol1628 · 04/03/2018 17:00

Four. Three males and one female.

lynmilne65 · 04/03/2018 17:01
