I have started loads of threads but here I am again.

Anything else as nice as Anna? Lucy is out.
Thanks

Anna and Kathryn
Anna and Viola
Anna and Heather

You need another short and simple name.

Anna and Nina
Anna and Zoe
Anna and Mary
Anna and Lucy (Lucia at a push)
Anna and Sara
Anna and Clara
Or go (slightly) retro... Anna and Claire, Anna and Helen, Anna and Rachel.

Very struck by the suggestion of Anna and Rosa further up.

blinkineckmum · 01/03/2018 11:23

Thank you again.
There are reasons I can't use Lucy, Clara and some of the other suggestions, good as they are.
I am now thinking
Rosa
Maria
Megan
possibly May?

No, no. Megan is definitely not nice enough.

Anna and Rosa. Smile

Or Anna and May.

AnElderlyLadyOfMediumHeight · 01/03/2018 13:13

Agree with husky. Go with Anna and Rosa.

DD told me last night that she wants another sister and brother as twins named Rosie because she likes Rosmund (not sure about spelling!) and Peter because she loves Peter Rabbit the book (she hates the movie!).

While I am not having any more babies I do think Anna and Rosie sounds nice.

Also Anna and Cecilia (Cecil or Cilla for short).

Will have to wait and see if it's a girl and what she looks/ feels like! I keep changing my mind, but think it's Meg at the top. Although I think dh likes Rose.

Anna and Rose. Both equally classic, beautiful names.

lottiegarbanzo · 08/03/2018 10:00

May and Rose are fairly ubiquitous middle names at the moment (along with Grace). So in a way they're more common than you might think. But, Rose is still fairly unusual as a first name.

How about Rosemary? Lovely, underused, stands out yet well known and easy to abbreviate.

blinkineckmum · 08/03/2018 15:30

Thank you but I hate the smell and taste of Rosemary!

Anna and Rosa - love love love it!

Also like Anna and Clara.

LoveInTokyo · 08/03/2018 16:06

Why did you switch from Rosa to Rose?

They’re both nice but Rosa is way cooler and less common than Rose.

blinkineckmum · 08/03/2018 16:47

I like Rose best but thought Rosa could be shortened to Rose, whereas Rose might end up being called Rosie.

Love Rose
Like Rosa
Dislike Rosie...

Anna and Emma. Brilliant

Anna and Grace

Anna and Maisy

Anna and Freya

lottiegarbanzo · 08/03/2018 16:57

I think of Anna as a Russian name - though popular elsewhere of course. Not sure if that's where it originated, might just be thinking of Karenina. Anyway, on that theme:

Lara
Kitty
Sasha (short for Alexandra)
Tanya
Natasha
Karina
Katya
Nadia
Sabina

Failingat40 · 08/03/2018 17:27

Anna and Rosa go really well together, both beautiful classic names
