Konsta or Niilo

Middle name would be Justus. I slightly prefer Niilo, OH prefers Konsta. Konsta would probably be easier for English speakers to pronounce, right?

Konstantin is much nicer than Konsta (imo). Still prefer Niilo though.

Konstantin is really nice

" may be seen as one of those chav names J or K initial so I'd steer clear "

excuse me?

CircleofWillis · 24/02/2018 14:50

I like Niilo.

YouCantBeSirius · 24/02/2018 15:10

Niilo is lovely

PhilODox · 24/02/2018 15:14

Yes, Jane, Joy, Jeremy and Jonty- such chavs, the lot of them.... Confused

PhilODox · 24/02/2018 15:16

Anyway... I know a little Justus, and he's gorgeous.
I like Niilo better than Konstantin, I think, but I'd find the 'o' hard, and probably keep saying "Nee-lo", sorry. I can't think of any English names that end in an "o" sound that isn't lengthened.

PhilODox · 24/02/2018 15:17

Oh, FFS! Konsta, not Konstantin! My phone likes Konstantin, obviously!

SandLand · 24/02/2018 15:18

Might not work in Finnish, but I know a Konstant too.
Think I prefer Konsta, maybe extended to Konstantin or Konstant.

Natsku · 24/02/2018 15:31

I find Konstantin a bit of a mouthful to say but could be good as the official name but called Konsta day to day. If we don't go for Niilo that is. OH prefers Konsta because he doesn't know anyone with that name so there's no negative associations for him.
