1 2yo Flo

BlackberryandNettle · 20/02/2018 22:07

Two little ones. As far as I know they are just Florence

SwinginFromTheChandelier · 20/02/2018 22:42

Loads, but I'm a sports coach! Normally Flo or the whole name. Home Counties.

Enidblyton1 · 20/02/2018 22:55

Just realised I know more Florence's than I thought.
3 under 10s - known as Florence, Flo or Flossie (seems to alternate depending on mood)
1 18 year old always called Florrie

1 late 30s, always known as Flo
4 aged between 40-60 - all French or Swiss and known as Florence.

DazzlingMilton · 20/02/2018 22:59

5 off top of my head, 4 are under 5yo

Littlechocola · 20/02/2018 23:02

No children but one in her 30’s. She’s very beautiful.

NewSingleMummy · 20/02/2018 23:27

My daughter was born Spring 2016, was meant to be called Florence until I knew 5 yes 5 other people name their babies Florence.. I was gutted

WaitrosePigeon · 21/02/2018 09:30

I know three, including my daughter. She’s Florence, we don’t shorten it.

masktaster · 21/02/2018 09:34

One in year 8 - Flo
One in year 3 - Florence
One born last year - Flo

Probably others I've forgotten, but can't recall any that aren't Florence/Flo

lozbeth · 21/02/2018 09:35

2

Eilasor · 21/02/2018 10:55

Just one - a school friends daughter, nn Flo sometimes - must be about 10 now.

MsSquiz · 21/02/2018 19:26

Florence was my beautiful gran's name and is one of my favourite girl's names should we have a girl when we start TTC. It was also the name of my wedding dress, funnily enough
She always went by Flo or Florrie, but I do also like the nickname Flossie, and the full name would be Florence - Amelia.

ASqueakingInTheShrubbery · 21/02/2018 20:11

One, aged 4, known as Florence or an unrelated nickname.

Honey456 · 21/02/2018 21:12

I don’t know any! Although I don’t know many babies in general. Which is one of the reasons we are thinking of calling our daughter Florence. It’s a beautiful name.

It’s a tie between Florence or Grace currently. :)

Glumglowworm · 21/02/2018 22:18

One, she’s about 8 or 9, nn Flo

Achafi · 21/02/2018 22:21

2 in my swim class, babies under 1 and a friend had one last week nn Flo.

pimlicolife · 21/02/2018 22:26

I know two. I think they are both Flo.

windchimesabotage · 21/02/2018 22:28

1 who I was friends with in primary school and whom I just thought was the coolest person in the world... and so I now think that name is very cool!

windchimesabotage · 21/02/2018 22:29

oh and her name wasnt shortened by anyone.

FancyNewBeesly · 21/02/2018 22:30

I know four Florences, all under 3. And a cat.

Groovee · 21/02/2018 22:30

Have worked with quite a few. Only a couple have been Florrie. The rest were Florence.

mumdebump · 21/02/2018 22:31

Until recently I only knew one Florence from my Uni days - lovely person, always loved the name but now I worry it may be becoming too popular. In the last couple of months, I know of 2 new babies (of acquaintances through work/families of work colleagues) both named Florence. One shortened to Florrie and the other to Flossie and I can't say I like either of those shortened versions.

ruleshelpcontrolthefun · 21/02/2018 22:35

5 all under 5. Flo or Floss as nns.

FrozenMargarita17 · 21/02/2018 22:36

One and she's called Flo

Tuttytoffee · 21/02/2018 23:28

1 called Flo, very pretty.
