Opinions and thoughts please!

Nn for Sebastian would be Seb, Bass, Sebby

Nn for Fergus would be Fergs, Gus, Fergie

Finn is a bit of a naughty boy name. Sorry if you have a Finn, and yes it does sound cool, but I think the name suggests a bit of a handful.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 15/02/2018 18:21

Fergus.

pipilangstrumpf · 15/02/2018 18:53

Fergus is much more classic and timeless

ScreamingValenta · 15/02/2018 18:57

I like them both - it would be a coin toss for me! Perhaps very slightly prefer Sebastian, as I don't like NN Gus.

ocelot41 · 15/02/2018 19:16

Looove Fergus - cool esp if Scottish heritage

PinkAvocado · 15/02/2018 19:20

Love Fergus. Really dislike Sebastian. The ‘bast’ bit sounds harsh and I hate the nn ‘Sebby’.

BabloHoney · 15/02/2018 20:16

Think both are absolutely lovely!

Songofthesouth · 15/02/2018 20:25

I have been a teacher for many years (in ‘naughty’ schools, may I add) and I can’t quite believe someone is suggesting Sebastian is chavvy!

Neither are my style but I guess I prefer Fergus. Like the nn Gus though!

TatianaLarina · 15/02/2018 20:49

Love Sebastian but Fergus would be good if you have Scottish heritage.

Fergus is much more classic and timeless

Did you really just say that about a Roman name?

ChocolateCrunch · 15/02/2018 20:55

Fergus

mintich · 15/02/2018 20:58

Fergus

daisypond · 15/02/2018 21:15

Much prefer Fergus. And it's fine, more than fine, if you don't have a Scottish surname.

scrappysquirrel · 15/02/2018 22:38

Thanks everyone for your opinions! Looks like Fergus is currently ahead of Sebastian.

DH is Scottish which is why we warmed to the name Fergus initially! Grin

villainousbroodmare · 15/02/2018 22:58

Fergus by a mile.

Rainbowsandflowers78 · 15/02/2018 23:00

Fergus or fergal

pipilangstrumpf · 16/02/2018 10:53

Fergus, great name and doesn't need shortening!

MammieBear · 16/02/2018 11:00

Sebastian wins it for me lovely name.

cheshiremama89 · 16/02/2018 11:06

Fergus

PonyPals · 16/02/2018 11:08

Sebastian by far! What a lovely lovely name.
Fergus sounds like an old grumpy man

maxiflump1 · 16/02/2018 11:27

Sebastian by a mile. When I hear Fergus I think of fungus!

BakedBeans47 · 16/02/2018 23:15

Fergus is horrible IMO
