Kaia is definitely better and no getting mixed up with the pronunciation.

Think i'm leaning towards Kaia but not sure!

I like it. I prefer the Kaia spelling because I think you're more likely to get the correct pronunciation.

With Kaya, I think some people might say Kay-a, because of the name Kay that already exists.

My niece is Kaiya.... pronounced k-eye-a kayak without the k

I really like Kaia. I'd be more inclined to pronounce this name as Kye-ah rather than if it were spelt as Kaya.

Someone mentioned the coconut jam to me too... as if it would put me off?! There are worse things to have associated to name. Coconut jam sounds great!
