Kaia is definitely better and no getting mixed up with the pronunciation.

quinqin · 04/02/2018 13:30

Think i'm leaning towards Kaia but not sure!

I like it. I prefer the Kaia spelling because I think you're more likely to get the correct pronunciation.

With Kaya, I think some people might say Kay-a, because of the name Kay that already exists.

harrietm87 · 04/02/2018 21:17

I agree that Kaia makes the pronunciation more obvious.

RavenWings · 04/02/2018 21:18

Kye-ah for me. I prefer that pronunciation.

DramaAlpaca · 04/02/2018 21:20

I'd pronounce it Kye-ah and spell it Kaia. It's pretty.

combatbarbie · 04/02/2018 21:33

My niece is Kaiya.... pronounced k-eye-a kayak without the k

Meemzinha · 04/02/2018 21:47

I love the look of Kaiya but it complicates the pronunciation, so I'm gonna be sticking with Kaia!

HuskyMcClusky · 07/02/2018 05:53

Kaia looks nicer than Kaya.

HuskyMcClusky · 07/02/2018 06:47

Just googled Kaia Gerber out of curiosity - wow, stunner! Shock Absolute mini-Cindy.

Smoliver · 07/02/2018 10:26

I really like Kaia. I'd be more inclined to pronounce this name as Kye-ah rather than if it were spelt as Kaya.

PanannyPanoo · 07/02/2018 10:35

I know a Kaiya and a Kaya. both pronounced keye ya

Never a mispronounciation with Kaiya.
Kaya does get called Kay a quite frequently.

MrsCaecilius · 07/02/2018 17:01

Coconut jam to me too! Quite tasty though...

Meemzinha · 07/02/2018 17:43

Someone mentioned the coconut jam to me too... as if it would put me off?! There are worse things to have associated to name. Coconut jam sounds great!

Like the name Mark! It's another word for a stain hahaha. "Awwwh no I got a mark on my favourite top and now it's ruined"

(okay so not quite the same but that always makes me laugh)

MikeUniformMike · 07/02/2018 17:43

Kay-ah. Kaia and Kaiya rhyme with Hiya!
Kaya looks like kayak.

Subla2401 · 07/02/2018 21:52

What about spelling it 'Caia'?

hollyberrytree · 07/02/2018 22:10

Kay -ah.

Don’t like it. Sounds like initials. K R

floriad · 07/02/2018 22:10

I also prefer Kaia.
Keye-uh.
