Struggling for a boys name

We have a daughter (5), for some reason I assumed I would have another girl, and am now really struggling to find a boys name. What do you think of Joel, Luke or Jack?

I like them all.

Jack has been very popular for many years though and there are so many aged around mid 20's down to babies. It's a nice name but I think I'd use it only if we had an unusual surname.

Joel is different without being too out there!

ButterflyOfFreedom · 03/02/2018 10:47

I love all 3 of those names!

In order of preference probably Joel, Jack, Luke.

Other suggestions:
Noel
Tate
Niall
Zac
Drew
Jake
Seth
Brett
Cole
Ralph

Like Joel, Jack is OK but I know several of various ages. Luke is OK but prefer Lucien.
How about Ezekiel (Zeke)

Chocolatecake12 · 03/02/2018 11:20

I love Joel! I haven’t heard it in ages so would fairly uncommon.
It’s a cool name, really nice for a baby a young boy a teenager and a grown man.

SpottyBrolly · 03/02/2018 11:22

Joel is lovely.

ChocolateCrunch · 03/02/2018 11:47

Jack is my favourite

Dreamtheimpossibledream · 03/02/2018 12:12

Thank you everyone - we have a very common surname so definitely erring towards Joel

Fed up with Jack, Luke is nice, Joel is great

RosieCotton · 03/02/2018 13:33

Joel would be my choice from your short list. I know loads of Jack's. There's at least 3 in my sons class and 2 in my daughters class. 2 of my friends have Jack's as well

HonkyWonkWoman · 03/02/2018 13:35

Jacob!
Nick names: Jayky, Jake, Jay.

DramaAlpaca · 03/02/2018 13:37

I really like Joel.

mum2be2boys · 03/02/2018 15:00

I like all 3 but Joel is my favourite :-)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 03/02/2018 17:50

I love Jack.

LarkDescending · 03/02/2018 18:36

Luke is great! I like the very popular Jack too, but perhaps not with a very common surname.

Seer · 03/02/2018 19:16

I knew a lovely Joel. It sounds quite different with different accents (e.g. sort of "Jow" in an Essex accent) though so check you're happy with how it's likely to be pronounced locally.

I really like Luke

I also like Jack
