What do you think?

I love the gemstone, but I don't think it works as a name. It's a bit, I don't know, clunky. I wouldn't like to be called Amethyst.

I don't like the 'thyst' part.

What about?

Marigold
Opal
Saffron

Amaryllis might appeal more to you, Mrs. Personally I think it's very flouncy but it definitely avoids the thyst!

I love Amethyst! Unfortunately it's on my list of names I love, but wouldn't really use. If you're brave enough, do it!

I have a similar name... please don’t do it! I’ve been rejected for jobs because of my name alone and I’ve had to start using my middle name.
