They are a bit similar. Milly short for Millicent perhaps? Or just Milly.

Lauren1x · 18/01/2018 19:15

Choosing a name is so difficult, every name I like/love seems to be similar or the same as somebody I know😖😩

Pick a name you like. If it is already used by a cousin of your DC, it's probably best not to use it.
If you like Millie, would you like Molly? Or Jill? Or Tilly?
There are 1000s of names you could choose from.
My DCs were given classic names that turned out to be popular so were usually known as Firstname Surname.

They are quite similar but not identical. I think it you love the name it would fine. I guess it depends how close you are to them? If you're in the same town and they'll spend lots of time together it may get annoying but if they won't be socialising much, just an occasional family events I think it's fine.

I love really girly names such as Millie, Isabella, Isabelle, Ella, Mya, Evie...anybody have any suggestions of similar names?

flumpybear · 18/01/2018 20:16

Milly is short for Amelia too so no I wouldn't use it

What about the other names you've
Mentioned!

illiana is quite similar illie for sort?

Lauren1x · 18/01/2018 20:20

I can't use Isabella as I called my dog Bella so think it'd be abit strange! I think Mya is to popular and my friends have LOs named Ella and Evie😔 And I'm not to sure about illiana

Kitty?

GlorianaBanana · 18/01/2018 20:21

Do they ever call her Milli? If no, then I'd use it.

Lauren1x · 18/01/2018 20:31

No, her nickname is Meme

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 18/01/2018 20:34

Üell if Amelia is known as Meme. I don't see any reason ühy you can't use Millie.
I think you'll regret it if you don't use it.

Lauren1x · 18/01/2018 21:09

I LOVE Lara, I'm just also worried it's to similar to my name Lauren

I do think Millie is too close if your niece is Amelia. She may well get Millie as a shortening in the future.

I do think they’re quite similar.

Millie also is a slang term / insult in NI, if that bothers you.

Some nice suggestions^^

I really like Annie and Rosie if they fit the bill?

TatianaLarina · 19/01/2018 14:53

Milly’s fine it’s a different name. If she’s called MeMe it doesn’t matter. The Amelia I know is called Ami not Milly.

Lauren1x · 19/01/2018 15:05

So lovely names thank you✨ I absolutely adore Freya however OH isn't a fan😩
