A-may-a and Lee-la. (Although I know that the 'ei' in Leila should be said as an 'a', but spelled like this I read it as Lee-la not Layla.)

There is a Leila in DS's school. Very pretty name.

DS2 has one of each in his pre-school class.

Amaya is uh-MAY-uh and Leila is LEE-lah (I called her LAY-lah initially but got frowned at and corrected by young Master Three )

A-may-ah. But I think you will also get A-mya.

Lee-la (as in Sheila, Deirdre, Keira). If you prefer the a sound, you could consider the spelling Laila / Layla. There is a Leela in Futurama.
