What do people think about ruby?

Mmmmm point taken but I see that annoying face in my mind every time I hear the name!

Ada is fusty and inelegant imo but I dislike most of the granny names that so many love these days.

Ada is beautiful. I’d go with Ada over ruby personally

I love both Ruby and Ada. Ruby has beautiful colour and gem connotations and Ada, to me anyway, feels like an old, forgotten Hollywood starlet name.

My DGM was an Ada, born in 1910. I only know one other who is 15 and very cool.

Imo there's much of a muchness between Ava and Ada, so I don't see that it's a much better option. I like Ada but it doesn't stand out drastically from Ava.

I agree that Ruby is a bit nothingy.
