Hi - have posted on here before about names for identical twin boys who are due to make an appearance shortly but husband and I are still no closer to having any favourites and it's starting to stress me out a little! Will be brothers to Toby (Tobias).

List currently is:
Felix
Oscar
Zachary
Caleb
Alistair
Nathaniel - love this but surname begins with 'n' and ends in 'l', so thinks it is prob too much
Jasper - husband not a fan
Ezra
Otis
Frederick

Like but can't use for various reasons:
Sebastian
Louis

Would be grateful if you have any favourites from our list or new suggestions?!

OP posts:

Toby is considered a dog's name by many so I think having Max or a Felix imo would be a little weird.

(DS 2 is a Toby)

Good luck with picking and let us know what you go with.

moggle · 19/12/2017 17:30

I like Evan and Caleb as a pair from your shorter list.... but I think you could pick almost any pair from that list and it'd go and sound great.
We're having twin boys too, I think I posted on your previous thread. I liked a lot of similar names to you. Think we've decided on Rufus and Edward but Edward may change yet... I would love a Zachary but a close friend we see a lot of has one so probably going to avoid :-(

florascotianew · 19/12/2017 18:12

OP from your latest update, I don't for a moment think you're going to do this, but please don't do as one previous poster suggests and use Alexander and Alasdair. They are the same name!! Alasdair (that's the standard transliteration spelling) is the Scottish Gaelic version of Alexander.

Best of luck when the twins arrive! I like Felix as a name too- it has a lovely meaning.

MyGuideJools · 19/12/2017 20:13

Just came on to say i know siblings called Felix Oscar and Zachary. Lovely names. Actually I like all your choices.
I also know twins called Harry & HenryConfused

girlwhowearsglasses · 19/12/2017 20:22

OP I’ve been there - a boy and then twin boys.

I had to write them all on a piece of paper and blu tac them to the wall for a few weeks- five actually.

Live with it for a while

They are all nice names —and I used one of them—

ChequeredPasta · 19/12/2017 20:25

Oscar and Caspar

euanthesheepiloveyou · 19/12/2017 21:02

Felix & Evan. Beautiful. 💙💙

FinnegansCake · 19/12/2017 21:11

I knew a lovely Felix, who suited his name well as he was always cheerful and happy.
Caspar and Felix go very well together.
Although Evan is a nice name, it feels very different from Tobias and your other choices, and I don’t think it goes.

I really like Oscar and Felix together. Both are similar sorts of names ie slight hipster vibe/modern yet vintage, both two syllables and five letters. For me they work together without any overly obvious "twin theming". Plus both go well with Toby.

For middle names I'd be inclined to have another subtle matching - A and Z - both ends of the alphabet.

Felix Alastair
And
Oscar Zachary

Sorry I didn't read the thread right!

CarriMarie · 20/12/2017 00:08

I know twins called Zachary and Cameron (Zac & Cam).

ThePieMother · 21/12/2017 16:56

I have a Felix and an Oscar less than a year apart- they grew up as a bit of a double act meaning their names are almost always mentioned in the same breath. Obviously I'm biased but I think they go wonderfully together!

pipilangstrumpf · 21/12/2017 17:26

The Odd Couple Grin

fullofwonder · 21/12/2017 18:55

ThePieMother - does anyone ever mention The Odd Couple?! I don't know it at all (60s film, 70s series or most recent version) but it always gets mentioned on here!

OP posts:
peachypips · 21/12/2017 19:05

I have a Zachary- he’s the only one I know (although I know that it is getting more popular) and I always get told how nice it is. V biased!

I like Ezra and Z.

CaptainChristmas · 21/12/2017 21:21

Felix and Oscar are lovely. Definitely my favourites from your list.

Cattenberg · 21/12/2017 21:25

I knew a Nathaniel. I'm not sure he liked his full name, as he always introduced himself as Nathan. But perhaps that would go better with your surname?

RickOShay · 21/12/2017 21:38

Really like Zachary and Otis.
What about

Joel

Dominic

Conrad

Barnaby

Rafael

EvilCleverDog · 21/12/2017 21:42

I like Oscar best from your list.

Oscar and Reuben (Ossy and Roo)

Valeriemalorie · 21/12/2017 21:54

Ethan
Reuben

Frazzled2207 · 21/12/2017 22:10

Felix and Oscar

mrspatel77 · 22/12/2017 18:36

I am having my baby on 2 Jan and his name is likely to be Freddie (Frederick) so that gets my vote!
If I were having twins I'd probably go with Oscar as the other name xx

dotdotdotmustdash · 22/12/2017 18:39
