I heard someone hollering this at their toddler in the playground today and I kind of like it? Is it a real name or short for something? I’m not even preggers but do like to think of my hypothetical daughter that we can’t afford to have and what she might be called Grin

It could be short for Elizabeth.

AnyaMoondial · 05/12/2017 17:58

Never heard of it! I do quite like it though.

Maybe the child is called lila and the they her Lila-bee as an endearment? Or maybe they are just weird.

SoftlyCatchyMonkey1 · 05/12/2017 18:03

Sounds too much like labia

Big sister called vulva

MedicinalGin · 05/12/2017 18:29

Grin labia, crikey yes- I hadn’t thought of that! I suppose it does sound a bit like lillibet which is the queen’s nickname I think. Gone off it now- my hypothetical daughter will remain nameless sadly!

It's probably just a nickname. My DD isn't called BooBoo but that is what you would have heard me saying in Tesco today!

lastqueenofscotland · 05/12/2017 18:42

Misread it as labiaBlush

Elllicam · 05/12/2017 18:46

I would guess a nickname too, my DS2 gets Addie Bee occasionally.

Mrsknackered · 05/12/2017 21:48

I kinda like it. But Liberty is one of my all time faves.

SantaStuckInTheChimney · 05/12/2017 22:17

I like it.

JollyGiraffe · 05/12/2017 22:20

Could it be Lily-Bee?

RavingRoo · 05/12/2017 22:21

I’ve heard of lilabibi or lilabibi

Callamia · 05/12/2017 22:22

Maybe her surname begins with B.
I call my kid ‘hisname-B’. Do you thInk people think that’s his real name?

On the bus the other day, I called one of my children ‘buddy’, and a woman opposite me assumed that was his actual name. Must stop using nicknames.

Dixiestampsagain · 05/12/2017 22:34

I call my kids ‘first name-B’ all the time, as their surname begins with B, so maybe it was that?
