Girls name help - Sister for Aurora?

FairyMcHairy · 01/12/2017 09:02

I'm into my third trimester and still very stuck on names for DD2. We have a shortlist but they are all names I like but don't love:

Callista
Beatrix
Daisy
Annabelle
Violet
Robyn
Luna
Jasmine

Which of the names above are your favourite, and can you suggest any similar to the list that I may have missed? Like Aurora, names that have links to space and/or Disney would be ideal.

All opinions and suggestions much appreciated!

From your list, I love Aurora and Jasmine, very pretty ! 😄

Iwasjustabouttosaythat · 01/12/2017 09:09

I came to suggest Stella.

relaxitllbeok · 01/12/2017 09:17

Would you consider having the connection be via mythology rather than astronomy or Disney? (Aurora being the Roman goddess of dawn.) If so, there's a handy list here that you might like to look down (the Alphabetical list section):

From your list Daisy and Robyn

Astrid
Stella/Estelle/Estella
Freya
Portia
Ophelia
Pheobe
Halley
Miranda
Juliet
Elara (one of Jupiters moons)
Alya
Juno
Lyra

Elmo303 · 01/12/2017 09:18

Belle
Ariel

saladdays66 · 01/12/2017 09:20

Borealis :)

Not. Love Stella and Luna (but may be too close to loony)

Other constellations:
Lyra
Cassiopeia
Carina?

Whythesnoring · 01/12/2017 09:21

If I had an aurora I would definitely have to have a Briar Rose !

Elisheva · 01/12/2017 09:21

What about Seren?

PointlessUsername · 01/12/2017 09:22

Callista from your list

Whythesnoring · 01/12/2017 09:24

Really like Beatrix from ur list :)

littlemisscomper · 01/12/2017 09:25

Aurora means Dawn doesn't it, so maybe just use Dawn? Or something similar - Skye, Storm, Hope?

ChocolateCrunch · 01/12/2017 10:02

I like all from your list, especially Jasmine, Callista and Daisy. Jasmine is probably the better one to go with Aurora.

Space names - Venus, Pandora, Portia, Ophelia, Ariel, Elara, Cressida, Lyra, Estella, Nova
Disney names - Belle, Alice, Cleo, Flora, Perdita, Thalia, Willow, Ursula, Dinah, Evangeline

Frogletmamma · 01/12/2017 10:06

How about violetta instead of violet?

Brandnewstart · 01/12/2017 10:11

Aurora is such a pretty name! I would go with Jasmine if you like the Disney link, but I also love Elodie which sounds lovely with Aurora.

Whohasnickedmyvodka · 01/12/2017 10:15

I have an aurora and a celeste

IHeartKingThistle · 01/12/2017 10:17

Aurora and Celeste sound like fairies. It's perfect; steal it OP!

AnyaMoondial · 01/12/2017 10:49

Like Daisy and Robyn best from your list.

I also suggest Anna or Elsa (link to Frozen)

AstridWhite · 01/12/2017 10:50

I love Robyn but it doesn't really go with Aurora. From your list I think Callista or Violet.

ShowMeTheElf · 01/12/2017 10:56

Ariel
Ella
Belle

ShowMeTheElf · 01/12/2017 10:56

Minnie
Daisy

Blahblahblahzeeblah · 01/12/2017 10:57

(Cinder)Ella

MerryMarigold · 01/12/2017 11:00

Isobel (Belle for short)
Elsie
Stella (not Disney), but I love it

Celeste is perfect also with the 'heavens' association (Celestial)

daisypond · 01/12/2017 12:18

Selene or Selena - Greek goddess of the moon, so it's a pair to Aurora, Roman goddess of the dawn. It's less obvious than Luna, the Roman equivalent.
