I always thought it was quite unusual. I love it but don't want to pick a name lots of others have.

I am in Ireland I have only heard of one a few years ago.

Do you know lots of Florences?!

It is a beautiful name. Not popular round here at the moment so I think I will go with it if I have a girl!

I work in a secondary school in the North East and there isn't a single student called Florence. I think it's a beautiful name.

I know four. Three are babies / toddlers and one is an adult, (I would guess she is in her 70s or 80s). Tbh, that’s a lot of one name for me. I don’t think I know as many of any other name. I also meet quite a few at parks and things, who I haven’t counted obviously. That could just be to do with the are I live in.

It has been growing in popularity a lot recently!

It's top 20 for England and Wales in 2016 and has risen a lot so is popular here
