Hi Lovelys!

Why are boys names so difficult! Had our girls name picked out in about 5 seconds!

What do you think of the name Bremner for a boy?

Thanks :) xx

Yes, I like it !
How about Bram ?

IVflytrap · 14/11/2017 13:14

Makes me think of Rory. I find the sound of it a bit unwieldy, to be honest - I think it's the m and n being pronounced right next to each other. If it's a family surname, or has some special link or meaning to you, then fair enough.

pipilangstrumpf · 14/11/2017 13:15

Sounds Scottish. I’ve not met a Bremner before but it sounds good.

icantgetnosleep5 · 14/11/2017 13:37

Oh god thts awful ! Sorry !

It sounds like an insult teenage boys wud shout at each other ! Confused

closetmonster · 14/11/2017 17:38

I really dislike it I’m afraid...

LovingLola · 14/11/2017 17:41

Back in the 70's Leeds United had a famous player - Billy Bremner...

ShotsFired · 14/11/2017 17:42

Rory and Try-hard.

It's a dog's name at best. And even then a pretty bad one.

It's like you wanted to go for Braemar but fudged it when filling out the forms.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 14/11/2017 17:43

It's a last name. And not a particularly nice one tbh.

WhatKatyDidNotDo · 14/11/2017 18:04

I don't like it. Doesn't sound like a first name.

Oysterbabe · 14/11/2017 18:11

It really doesn't sound like a first name, it's clunky and ugly I think.

lozdaniellexxx · 14/11/2017 18:34

My husband is a massive Leeds fan and it was his suggestion đŸ™ˆđŸ™ˆ

It's very much a surname and not sure it works as a first name

(And I say that as someone who has a child with "surname firstname")

Pemba · 14/11/2017 19:32

Agree with that, not great as a first name.

Joeybee · 14/11/2017 22:28

Not sure. It sounds like a surname or a made-up name. Maybe it's okay for a middle name.

DuggeeHugs · 14/11/2017 23:37

They have a Bremner Suite at the club I think, so if there's the slightest chance of him going there I'd say no to Bremner.

What about Billy or William if a tribute to Billy Bremner is DHs aim?

DramaAlpaca · 14/11/2017 23:43

I really don't like it at all. Sorry.

It would be fine as a middle name though.

Littlechocola · 14/11/2017 23:44

Awful

Kazzawazza69 · 15/11/2017 03:16

Ooh I quite like it, it’s different x
