Betty

My vote is Tabitha. Though I think Betty is great too!

Only1scoop · 13/11/2017 08:45

All gorgeous

Love Tab

Dorothea 100%
I know a child called Tibitha. Nn tibby. I think thts a nicer non-cat related version imo! :)

Tabitha

I love the name Dorothea and think Betty is sweet . I have a dgd named Betsy which I like too. I’m not keen on Ivy mainly because I wasn’t fond of Aunty Ivy as a child.
Tabitha is lovely but Tabby may be a bit catty.

Thanks all

  • I love Tibby!

Howsthings1234 · 13/11/2017 19:19

Dorethea as I love Thea as a nn

canttestright · 13/11/2017 19:26

Tabitha. I also think Ivy and Tabs works well.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/11/2017 11:17

Tibby is cool ! 😄

astormgivenflesh · 14/11/2017 11:26

My daughter is called Tabitha - it’s my favourite name ever and I love how it sounds
We call her Bea for short or tabby cat or Bea bug, Bea Bea, baby Bea, bumble Bea etc! My mum calls her tabs, my dad calls her tibby... endless possibilities and all super cute! 💜

Love Betty and Dorothea, I am biased though as Betty is what we want to call our baby due in December! Dorothea is lovely too-I am thinking of using Dorothy as a middle name as my Mom is called Dorothy but that's a lovely version too, not that keen on Tabitha though personally but it offers plenty of nickname choices. Totally love Ivy too.

dowotmakesuhappy · 14/11/2017 11:40

Tabitha

flumpybear · 14/11/2017 11:41

My daughter is also called Tabitha - love the name and she loves it too particularly when she’s called tabby cat or tabby kitten

I really don’t like Betty I’m afraid it sounds so old and frumpy

I'm really struggling! My DH loves Dorothea, and I like them all equally.

I might have to read Middlemarch again to make my mind up!
