Hopefully this will be my last post before we make a long overdue decision on our little pink bundles name!

This is baby girl number 3. Her sisters are Elin Mae and Fern Eliza.
Do you think Fern and Ivy is too matchy matchy, singling out Elin? Is Ivy too popular?
I just cant decide!!

Clara Ivy scans better anyway. So that's the matching issue dealt with too Smile

ShanghaiDiva · 11/11/2017 04:21

Agree - Clara ivy.

SuperBeagle · 11/11/2017 04:58

Clara Ivy.

Chaffinch4 · 11/11/2017 05:13

Clara Ivy is lovely. I wouldn't use Ivy and Fern as sibling names personally.

StrawberryJelly00 · 11/11/2017 05:33

Clara Ivy is better

whiteroseredrose · 11/11/2017 07:17

I'd say Ivy Clara (assuming you're using both) as it flows better. You get an extra 'arr' sound the other way.

Hoping that in day to day use they're Erin and Fern not mouthfuls though.

Clara Ivy - beautiful!

Starryskiesinthesky · 11/11/2017 08:11

Clara Ivy. Ivy too samy as Fern.

daisypond · 11/11/2017 10:05

Clara is better as a first name.

BernardBlacksHangover · 11/11/2017 12:24

Clara Ivy

Misslemon01 · 11/11/2017 13:54

Ivy Clara sounds better as it doesn’t have the A-I sound, but I’d call her by her middle name as Ivy and Fern could make Elin feel singled out

MikeUniformMike · 11/11/2017 14:25

Ivy Clara, otherwise (as said upthread) she'll be Clara Rivy

DramaAlpaca · 12/11/2017 13:33

Ivy Clara scans better.

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 12/11/2017 13:35

Another vote for Clara Ivy. Ivy Clara doesn’t sound right imo plus I do think Fern and Ivy are too matchy although both are great names individually

GU24Mum · 12/11/2017 13:36

I think Ivy Clara scans better (no risk of Clararivy) BUT I think Elin, Fren and Clara works better than Elin, Fern and Ivy - and in reality, you're likely to be saying that far more than you'll be saying her full name.

Biscuitsneeded · 12/11/2017 13:40

Ivy Clara. To say Clara Ivy you either need a break in the sound or you get one of those additional 'r' sounds so she ends up being ClaraRivy.

Intercom · 12/11/2017 14:18

Ivy Clara

Smoliver · 12/11/2017 17:36

I prefer Ivy Clara

Appuskidu · 12/11/2017 17:38

Clara Ivy definitely. Though not if your surname begins with a G, F or a D!

Swirlingasong · 12/11/2017 17:40

Ivy Clara will give her the initials I C, which sounds like icy, if that worries you.
