What do you think about the name Philippa? What does it say to you? Thanks!

Its quite nice. I like Pippa for a nn, but not keen on Philly or Phil.
It's one of those names where I'd assume she was named after someone, though

Didn't dislike it but some of you guys ruined the name for me. What about

Eleanore
Lenorah
Felicity

Love Theodora but Phillipa isn’t my favourite.

Great name and Pippa/Pip are brilliant nicknames

My sister went for Philippa for her youngest one but changed her minds when her other kids started calling the child Flipper. Confused

Sorry, meant to say, sister changed the name to Emily.

A similar name to my mind is Antonia.

I know an adult Philippa who is lovely and quite a hippy and not sloaney at all. She does love horses though....

Not keen on Phillipa personally, find it a bit spiky and would wonder if you had named her after Pippa Middleton.

How about Phyllida, Felicity, Felicia, Fiona?

I don’t know why but it makes me think of old armchairs covered in cabbage-rose chintz. So, probably a no from me

It's a very solid name to my ears. A bit clunky

I like it. And pip is nice too.

It’s lovely, so are Pip/Pippa.

It's on my list (due early Feb) but I'm not sure.

I like it - classic and not too common. But I don't like the obvious short forms for it - Pippa, Philly, Pip, etc.

Its a classy name, I think Phil or Pip make quite a cool nns rather than Pippa but its good to have options. I wouldn't have associated it with horses despite knowing the meaning. Josephine is beautiful too.

I don’t like it as I know a Philippa in real life who’s very annoying
