Surname is two syllable, traditional (boring!)

I like Jack and then Max

Max then Jack.

In this order I like

Sebastian (like Seb as a nickname though)

I like Sebastian but not Seb on its own. How about Seth?

Max is nice. Jack is also fine. I’m not mad about either though tbh. They’re nice but a bit plain imo.

I’m not overly keen on the other two - nothing wrong with them but they’re a bit popular and ‘animal name’ for my taste.

I love Seb short for Sebastian! & Max is lovely too.

I like them all (well, except as others said Seb has to be short for Sebastian, Seb alone seems very incomplete). Probably Jack is the nicest, but it has been very popular for a long time now.

Prefer Jake to Jack - lots of Jacks about. Seb is nice for a middle name.

I think you'd need Sebastian for Seb because it isn't as established as a name in its own right the way Max is.
