We are really struggling with names for our baby boy, both first and surname! My surname is Couch and DH's is Curtis.

Any suggestions??

Have you got any names listed? That would help people to give suggestions.

I prefer Curtis to Couch, tbh.

IL0veCl0thes · 07/11/2017 20:25

Curtis is a more attractive sur name imo.
1 syllable name with 2 syllable surname sounds good.
And 2 syllable first name with 1 syllable last name

AnyaMoondial · 07/11/2017 20:30

Curtis is also a first name though so that could maybe be a middle name.

Both Curtiss-Couch is nice
or You could always mesh eg Curch

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 07/11/2017 20:31

Oh good idea about using Curtis's as his middle name.
Eg Alexander Curtiss Couch

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/11/2017 20:33

I've never heard the surname Couch! Interesting.

I prefer Curtis though Grin

BroomstickOfLove · 07/11/2017 20:43

Curtiss-Couch is fine as a surname.

stitchglitched · 07/11/2017 20:45

Give the baby your surname or double barrel.

AntiHop · 07/11/2017 20:51

Alexander curtis-couch
James Curtis-couch

Curtis is a much nicer surname than Couch.

I'd ditch Couch and go with Curtis.

Applesandpears23 · 07/11/2017 21:56

Babies should have the same surname as the parent who will be the main contact at nursery and school as that parent will get called Mr/Mrs Child'sSurname.

FizzyGreenWater · 08/11/2017 11:20

Going against the grain, I prefer Couch as it's more unusual. I don't think Curtis is a particularly nice sounding word.

You could also use Curtis as a middle name as suggested, so another reason to go with Couch.

Alexander Curtis Couch v good, he'll end up as Alex Couch which is also quite nice sounding, smart and snappy.
