Surname will be Darlington, so difficult to not seem OTT or precocious.

Dana
Penelope
Valentina
Delilah
Wednesday
Bobbi
Katrina
Dolly

Penelope or Katrina are my favourite

Chaffinch4 · 06/11/2017 09:52

Katrina is lovely. Dorothy with nn Dolly?

Mugshotzforlunch · 06/11/2017 09:55

I like Katrina the best from your list.
How about Francesca?

Smoliver · 06/11/2017 10:24

I like Valentina, Delilah and Katrina the best. Penelope is nice too but I think it's become a lot more popular recently.

KingMortificadosMistress · 06/11/2017 11:20

Please don't call your child Wednesday Darlington.

It sounds like a northern salesman's calling point.

Wednesday Darlington
Thursday Stockton
Friday Middlesborough

What about classical Greek (or Roman) names like Cassiopeia or Cassandra? Not those particularly but there is a whole trove of unusual names in that genre.

AnyaMoondial · 06/11/2017 12:35

I was just about to say that Wednesday is brilliant but I've just seen kings post and I've changed my mind!

Love Katrina.

Lemonnaise · 08/11/2017 14:08

Dana is beautiful.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 08/11/2017 14:12

Valentina or Penelope sound good. They all sound nice though apart from Wednesday, although I'm not against that as a name per se. But if she is born on a Sunday, it would seem a little eccentric, and with Darlington as a surname I think I agree with pp about salesmen Sad

PricillaQueenOfTheDesert · 08/11/2017 14:20

Wednesday is only an option if your surname is Addams surely. I’m not keen on any of those names, I’m more traditional. elizabeth, Charlotte, Amy, Victoria, Sarah, Rachel, Rebecca type of names.

Bobbi with an i is dreadful, Penelope screams “were desperate to be upper class” Dolly says Crazy old cat woman.

Sorry if that’s not what you wan to hear, but you did ask for opinions, I’ve not said anything with the intention or being spiteful.

For real old school names I do like Violet, Mable, Henrietta, Lydia, etc, on other people’s children.

Hastalapasta · 08/11/2017 14:29

Congratulations!

I like Penelope, Valentina is Italian, Can’t see it working with Darlington tbh.
Bobby, Belinda, Daniela.
Just be aware that the initials DD will be interpreted as a bra size....

WillowySnicket · 08/11/2017 14:38

I love Dana Darlington! Destined for fame as a 1920's starlet.

SnarkyGorgon · 08/11/2017 14:44

I really like the alliteration of Dana Darlington, how about Daphne? Or maybe a single syllable name, like Faye?

MamaDuckling · 08/11/2017 15:04

Dolores no Dolly?

MamaDuckling · 08/11/2017 15:04

*nn

daisypond · 08/11/2017 15:34

Penelope or Valentina. I'm not keen on the others. I don't like the alliteration with any of the ones beginning with D. Katrina makes me think of the hurricane. Bobbi and Wednesday aren't real names to my thinking. But Roberta with a nn of Bobbi is nice.

BenLui · 08/11/2017 15:39

Valentina or Katrina are both lovely.

I quite like unusual names but Wednesday Darlington sounds like a business or a placename I’m afraid.

Silverthorn · 08/11/2017 15:42

Daniella Darlington? Can then be shortened in various ways Dani/(Ella.

Tigersteeth · 08/11/2017 15:45

I love day names! But think it should only be used if she''s born on the day...
Or how about Delphine Darlington? Delilah''s got too many l''s, I think. Dora?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 08/11/2017 17:00

Katrina Darlington is beautiful. Love Kat as a nick name.

holidayqueriwifi · 08/11/2017 17:11

Kitty Darlington

Cassia Darlington

Karina Darlington

holidayqueriwifi · 08/11/2017 17:12

Or Carina

Guardsman18 · 08/11/2017 17:29

Faye Darlington - sounds like a film star! I love it

TheVoiceOfTreason · 08/11/2017 20:44

Dana Darlington sounds like a superhero. Which I think is awesome, you might not though. It is a very American sounding first name too I'd say.

Of your list, I really love Valentina and Penelope! Depends if you are happy with Val, Tina or Penny (as applicable) as the go-to nicknames...

FASDLRL · 09/11/2017 10:35

I Love Dana, Bobbi and Katrina.

Wednesday Darlington sounds very posh - but if you are why not go for it.
Love all the names just depends on whether you want an OTT name or if you could shorten them to a nickname.

Penelope - Penny
Delilah - Lila
Katrina - Kat or Katie

bridgetreilly · 09/11/2017 11:09

How about:
Lydia
Felicity
Caroline
Rosalind
Jennifer
Juliet
Agnes
Lois
