Stuck for boys names

FairfaxAikman · 14/10/2017 23:13

I have a list as long as my arm for girls (favourites being Emily and Iris) but a very short one for boys.

I generally like traditional male names with a strong short form - the kind of name that makes you think “dependable bloke”

Eg

Thomas/ Tom
Andrew/ Andy
Samuel/Sam
I also like Harry but not keen on David/ Dave.

I do like Alisdair/Ali/Al but DH isn’t keen as it’s his bosses name. And he’s yet to be persuaded on any of MH other suggestions (while refusing to make any of his own)

Can I get a few more suggestions please before I file for divorce?!

My DS is a Harri, short for Harrison (also the Welsh spelling of Harry).

Dixiestampsagain · 15/10/2017 00:02

NB his 'proper' name is Harrison but we call him Harri.
