We love old names. And my husband has decided if we have another girl she will be called Silver after his nana he was very close to her growing up but she passed away a few years ago.
Can anyone think of a middle name that goes with silver?
And can anyone think of any old fashioned boys first and middle name?
Tia x

I'd avoid another word name, if I was you. Otherwise Silver sounds like it's describing whatever comes next!

Silver Elizabeth and Silver Eloise both sound good.

Or would you consider Sylvia or Sylvie instead of Silver?

For boys:
Albert John
Peter James
Vincent Peter
Arthur Charles
Robert Joseph

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 14/10/2017 23:33

Seriously?

Smoliver · 15/10/2017 00:08

Silver June would work Smile

Also...
Silver Grace
Silver Hope
Silver Willow
Silver Juniper
Silver Fern
Silver Joy
Silver Primrose
Silver Lorelei
Silver Amaryllis (Amaryllis means "to sparkle" so thought that would be cute with Silver) Smile

As for boys name ideas there's:
Sylvester (still be honouring your husband's Grandmother)
Peter
Samuel
Walter
Wilfred
Winston
Albert
David
Philip

Silver is surprisingly difficult to get a middle name where it doesn't end up sounding like you are describing the middle name or naming a variant of it (like a type of plant, melon, bird etc)

It's a very pretty name though. And I don't think the middle matters too much. You wouldn't say them together that much.

Silver Elise
Silver Elaine
Silver Joy

Boys (these are apparently popular Victorian names):
Arnold, Augustus, Baxter, Bram, Cassius, Clarence, Edgar, Edwin, Elmer, Everett, Floyd, Franklin, Grover, Hugh, Ives, Joules, Larkin, Luther, Otto, Phineas, Silas, Tesla, Wellington

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 18/10/2017 23:03

If you live in south London it'll sound dreadful with a strong accent- something to bear in mind.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 18/10/2017 23:05

I think I might've just won an award for the snobbiest post on MN Wink

RidingWindhorses · 18/10/2017 23:14

I'm from S London, I knew what you meant.
