Doesn't sound particularly pretty to me.. and is similar on the ear to Mardy which is a common phrase in my part if the country!

Marnie is lovely. It reminds me of the children's book "When Marnie was There". I don't like it with 'May'.

I actually know twins called Marnie and Barney. Makes me snort every time.

In "When Marnie was there" (very good book by the way!) it is short for Marianna. I've met someone who had it as a full name though - at least that's the name she gave when she knocked off our wing mirror!

It reminds of that young lady from Geordie Shore.
