Just that really. Ds is named but I can't help feeling I should have been brave and give for the one I loved most.

Atticus, Ezra or Theodore?

Find me too.......

Sum I think maybe people just started hearing the name again and thought it sounded nice, without worrying about the character. As he is fictional, I guess that's sensible. I am totally not sensible about these things...many names vetoed due to unsavoury literary connotations!

Yes, it's a nice name on its own, (Atticus I mean), but I wouldn't choose to name a baby specifically after Atticus Finch. If the parents just happen to love the name, regardless of the books then that's different.

MadisonAvenue · 28/09/2017 13:24

Find I wish that too. I read it but now can't really remember much about it, unlike TKAM.

DiegoMadonna · 28/09/2017 14:16

I think PPs are right that the name is getting popular because the sequel put it in people's minds and it's a nice name, rather than them using it after the character himself (although I'm sure some do).

I read TKAM years ago and loved it, but I've not read the sequel (and don't plan to) and I would still use the name, just because it's a nice name.

Atticus. I love it! On my list for baby number 3 if we have one!

Alexkate2468 · 28/09/2017 22:52

I agree, don't read Go Set a Warchman. It ruined Atticus Finch for me.. And Scout. There was a reason Lee choose not to publish it.

Ezra of course!

But I'm biased- hence the nickname!

DiegoMadonna · 29/09/2017 00:15

I don't get it... You're biased toward Ezra but your name is a TKAM reference...? Did you mean to say "Atticus of course"?

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 29/09/2017 00:25

Diego who, me?

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 29/09/2017 00:27

Ezra is a character in PLL- my NN is a nod to that.

I really like Atticus too, though.

Mclaren37 · 29/09/2017 01:17

Love all three, so you can't have gone wrong! If I had to put them in order of preference then probably Theodore, Atticus then Ezra. But it's really too close to call.

DiegoMadonna · 29/09/2017 01:43

I don't know what PLL is, but Boo Radley is a character in To Kill A Mockingbird, so your username is kind of ambiguous lol

Atticus
