Monty or Montgomery?

I absolutely love the name Monty William. However, is Monty far too cutesy? If so, is it better to go for Montgomery on the BC?

I'd go with Monty on its own, I like it.

Montgomery definitely! Cool name.

Monty is cute for a little boy. But I’m sure an adult man would like the option of a proper name.

Montague!

TillyTheTiger · 25/09/2017 20:44

How about Montague? Montgomery makes me think of Mr Burns from the Simpsons. Monty is lovely though.

Monty is wonderful!

Monty (but don't like either- sorry)

Sophronia · 25/09/2017 20:58

I’ve heard Monty short for Beaumont

Feel I need to weigh in here with my username.... I love it. Would consider Monty as a baby name myself, but it's my nickname so it would be a bit weird. But I like Montgomery or Montague on BC too. Nice and unique. Go for it OP!

Adore it. Prefer Montague.

When I was a kid my friends dad kept rabbits, they were all called monty

I prefer Monty on its own. Usually I like a longer name on the bc, but for some reason not with Monty.
