Asher and Jared

Just wondered what the general Mumsnet consensus was on these two names? I really like both as outsider possibilities for DS2 but have concerns. So what are your impressions of both and what assumptions (if any) might you make about a little Asher or Jared? Thanks

Asher would be on my list if DP liked it. Less fond of Jared but I do think that's Labyrinth! Even though he's Jareth...

Jared feels a bit dated. I know two Jareds both born in the 80s. I prefer it to Asher though.

I love asher but other half vetoed it so we have it as a middle name

My nephew's an Asher. I like it.

There's a fair few Biblical names in the family; old and new testament - non-religious family, but they're good classics.
