Hard to choose as both very nice and depends on surname. If you have a short surname I would go with Evangeline.

I have an Evangeline and can promise you there are no religious connotations. It was invited to be the name of the heroine in an epic love poem Grin

INVENTED not invited Hmm

I love Evangeline. I don't understand how it sounds in anyway like vagina. Confused

I've loved it since watching Lost. The woman who plays Kate is called Evangeline Lily.

I also love Matilda too.

Evangeline. Pretty and a bit more different than Matilda (I'm not keen on Tilly, either – just don't like the sound of it).

The only thing with Evangeline is that even if you call her by her full name it would probably get shortened very quickly to Evie or Eva at school – have you got a favourite in mind?

Evangeline Smile

Evangeline. Lovely name.

I first heard the name on House of Elliot (Evie).

Love Evangeline.

Really dislike Matilda, which also seems so overused at the moment

BewareOfDragons · 25/09/2017 23:15

Evangeline.

Matilda is still rather popular; we have loads of Mattys and Matties everywhere around here...

I have a Matilda. It is not a common name locally and nobody seems to want to call her by her name Sad
