Maddie would be the official name.

Can't decide!

OP posts:

Yes... Because she wants it has the official name. She has clearly thought about the other options and doesn't want them.

NameChangeFamousFolk · 22/09/2017 12:42

actually, I assume she'll be asked if it's short for Maddison (this spelling is now most popular) as this is the most popular 'Maddie' name

Apart from on this thread then, as everyone thought 'Madeleine'...Grin

TurquoiseChevrotain · 22/09/2017 12:48

Yes, but Mumsnet would never speak of a name such as Madison/Maddison.

Oh right then.

FizzyGreenWater · 22/09/2017 13:13

Oh please Sabrina. It's lovely, and so much more interesting.

TatianaLarina · 22/09/2017 13:59

Ye-s and posters have advised OP it's a bad idea.

TatianaLarina · 22/09/2017 14:01

Maddie Albright, Secretary of State.

TheDowagerCuntess · 22/09/2017 17:32

Lmao at all the people saying Madeleine, as if the OP wouldn't have already thought of it.

Tongue in cheek - of course we know the OP's thought of it (hence the wink after my post).

It's just that Maddie is not great.

try2hard · 22/09/2017 20:50

I'm a Madeleine/Maddie. Be prepared for a lifetime of Mandy Hmm

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 23/09/2017 09:48

Sabrina! Dd (due in Feb) is almost certainly going to be Sabrina. Dh thought of the name and now I just love it.

daisypond · 23/09/2017 11:35

Sabrina is lovely.
Just Maddie - without it being short for anything - is not nice.

daisypond · 23/09/2017 11:36

The Secretary of State is Madeleine Albright.

TatianaLarina · 23/09/2017 13:42

Someone's missed the point. Wink

CakeRattleandRoll · 23/09/2017 13:47

Sabrina

Liadain · 23/09/2017 16:22

Sabrina.

I'd go for Maddie if it was a nickname for something.

HeteronormativeHaybales · 23/09/2017 19:29

Maddie (but with Madeleine or Madeline as the full version).

Surprised at the love for Sabrina, but over here in Germany it's one of the names that were in vogue in the 70s/80s and aren't yet due a revival, so that is probably influencing me.

VioletCharlotte · 23/09/2017 19:39

Both of these are lovely but I think I prefer Sabrina.

Avocadosmoothie · 23/09/2017 19:39

Maddie
