Guys, this name list. thestir.cafemom.com/pregnancy/207174/brand_new_baby_girl_names Can't tell if it's supposed to be serious. I fear it is.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Who the hell even thinks of calling their baby the name of a weapon? They'll be promoting Glock and Uzi next

Oh I just had to comment after reading to say this - I once taught a Calibrate. It mightn't be Caliber, but these people are out there!

Stupid

MadameJosephine · 22/09/2017 07:33

This reminds me of years ago my friend and I were being silly thinking of dreadful kids names and my friend came up with Fungus Ghengis for a boy and Genitalia for a girl

MadameJosephine · 22/09/2017 07:34

Thankfully when the time came she changed her mind and her children are actually called Anthony and Laura

AnguaResurgam · 22/09/2017 07:35

American baby-naming is so different from British!

Two nations divided by a common language indeed

Linux. Grin

Might as well Python or Basic too.

RJnomore1 · 22/09/2017 07:39

In fairness, veruca salt were a great band.

Still wouldn't call a baby veruca.

SocksRock · 22/09/2017 07:46

I know a Hestia, and I've come across Iseult before. Pippi is OK, but you'd spend a lifetime say "no, it's a i on the end, not an a".

Apart from that they are just WHAT.

Although I do like the character of Mazikeen...

ThisIsntMyUsualName · 22/09/2017 07:51

Erm... I think it's a joke isn't it?

MaroonPencil · 22/09/2017 08:50

I honestly can't tell, This. It seems like it is, but then they include actual names like Pippi - if it was a joke wouldn't they all be ridiculous? Also, they have loads of other lists- boy/girl twin names etc.

I'm just reading "21 popular British Baby Boy Names". Reuben- both a delicious sandwich and an adorable baby name, apparently.

"Jenson - meaning son of John it's perhaps a little too quirky for us in the states." And yet Melanin and Veruca are just fine?
