Good morning Brew

DS2 will be here in a few weeks, really need to decide by Tuesday as we've got the interior designers coming round design the nursery.

Which do you like better?
Prince
Or
Kwame.

Thanks.

Kwame is a lovely name.
As for whether they would argue about who outranks who, oh yes they would - I once overheard siblings on a bus arguing about the 'fact' that because one child's name came before his brother in the alphabet he was better Grin
Kids can and will argue about anything - as the pp said, best not actually handing them the stick to poke each other with!

Ummmmgogo · 21/09/2017 08:10

I think Duke goes well with Major.

EdmundCleverClogs · 21/09/2017 08:22

DS1 is 6 years, and I doubt that he will be arguing with his little brother.

Oh dear. There's 6 years between my partner and his eldest sibling, 12 between me and my youngest one. You're wrong, very very wrong I'm afraid. Unless the age gap is so big that the eldest isn't actually around much (an adult with their own life), all siblings argue and over ridiculous things (like names).

I'd go with Kwame.

Gladiolies · 21/09/2017 08:28

Kwame, deffo. 👍🏼

Needalifeoverhaul · 21/09/2017 08:32

I love Kwame...I used to know someone who's son had this name and wasn't of Ghanaian decent..it really doesn't matter one bit. You don't have to be French to use a French name or Italian to use an Italian name so what's the difference. As for the meaning, I've known plenty of Mays, Junes and Aprils not born in those months. Prince is probably a bit too samey as Major though.

alltouchedout · 21/09/2017 08:34

I love Kwame. Made many attempts to convince DH we could use it (he pointed out we were Polish and British and it wouldn't work for us). Lovely lovely name.

LoyaltyAndLobster · 21/09/2017 08:37

Thanks everyone

KWAME it is 🎉

Kwame.

Definitely.

MammieBear · 21/09/2017 08:40

Prince, never heard of the other name before if I'm honest. I think Prince would be fine for a little boy after all it was the name of the great musician.

greendale17 · 21/09/2017 08:42

Prince is awful as a name

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 21/09/2017 08:43

OP,

Hooray you chose Kwame!

bridgetreilly · 21/09/2017 09:32

Yay! I always love it when the OP tells us what they decided. Good choice.

LoyaltyAndLobster · 21/09/2017 09:51

Thanks we no longer have to refer to him as "baby" we can now say "Kwame" Grin

Loving Kwame, OP!

(And thrilled that my DC1 and soon-to-be born DC3 won't be arguing due to the 6 year gap between them-PHEW Grin)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 21/09/2017 10:39

CamperVamp · 21/09/2017 11:50

We have had 2 Kwames at work. both lovely.

BellMcEnd · 21/09/2017 11:52

Kwame is a great name. I know 2 and they're both lovely.

I was going to suggest Tom. Would have gone very nicely with your DS1.

SindyFishtail · 21/09/2017 11:59

Another vote for Kwame- prince and major are too samey.
Congratulations op!

PuppyMonkey · 21/09/2017 12:03

Am I the only person who doesn't believe this thread is for real?

PotteringAlong · 21/09/2017 12:11

DS1 is 6 years, and I doubt that he will be arguing with his little brother.

He will. He definitely will.

FindTheLightSwitchDarren · 21/09/2017 12:16

One of the loveliest and most beautiful men I've ever met was named Prince, so I have a soft spot for that name! So I vote Prince. Really like both though.

Lottey90 · 21/09/2017 12:26

Five years between me and my sister and we've never argued. Both in our twenties now. Depends on the children
