I still think Tilsley.

Or drip

Sunbitternx · 20/09/2017 16:53

Love it.

Very vintage sounding.

underpaiid · 20/09/2017 17:59

I know a couple and would say it should be nice but isn't probably due to how I feel about said parents!

Not loving Ivy. 'Go and ask yer Antie Ivy'

Other names beginning with I - Imogen, Iona, Ione, Isolde/Iseult, Inès. Someone suggested Io on here the other day.

I used to like the name before I had a garden and witnessed its destructive power if let anywhere near a fence or a wall or other plants...

Carouselfish · 21/09/2017 01:10

I used to like it, was even in my top ten. Then someone reminded me it was the name of the head dinner lady at my old school - elderly, Miss Trunchbull type, bit dim and built like a tank. Can't seperate it now. No cuteness is left. Best I can say is, it doesn't sound like a weak, helpless little girly name, like other flower names can do.

It's pretty but unbelievably popular here in Australia.
My favourite "plant name" is Violet

annandale · 21/09/2017 01:27

Gorgeous and/but very popular now.
Rowan is still more unusual.

Smoliver · 21/09/2017 20:05

I love Ivy - it's actually high up on my list. However, it's popularity is putting me off slightly, but if you like it then go for it.

Ivy is considered a weed, but it's also a deeply rooted plant that can grow tall and strong - which is something I would want for any daughter of mine.

Middle name suggestions...

Mae
Belle
Nora
Annabel
