What does everyone think about this name? I've never heard of it before and quite like it for a boy or girl. Thoughts?

I went to school with a make Brynley, NN Bryn. I like it!

We have a little theatre in our town called 'The Brindley', and it makes me think of that.

dillytilly · 15/09/2017 20:05

Actually quite like it ! x

scrabbler3 · 15/09/2017 21:42

I like it. I like both spellings, too.

This was my grandad's name (shortened to Bryn). He was Welsh - in fact had to learn English when he started school. It's a lovely, lovely name - I admit tinted by memories of a most wonderful, gentle, proud and hard working man - If I'd had boys I'd have loved to have used the name xxx

No!

I know someone called this. Male, age 39. Since being a child always known as Brin. I like it and have never heard anyone else with the name. There is a chef on tv Bryn Williams but his is spelled differently.

Dixiestampsagain · 16/09/2017 06:21

It's definitely a real name and it was my Grandfather's name! It was spelt exactly like that, rather than the more traditional Welsh way of Brynley. I like it.

OliviaStabler · 16/09/2017 06:24

My Mum had a friend called Brinley. I like the name.

smartyclogs · 16/09/2017 18:57

Sounds too much like Brindley Place, area in central Birmingham with canals, bars and restaurants.

Flingobaps · 16/09/2017 19:00

I like it though to me it sounds like a boys name.
