What do you think of the name Peter?

I love it! Love Pete too! It was my boys name but i have 2 girls.
I see it as a classic, like John and William. I'd never put it with Keith etc!

NannyR · 11/09/2017 13:26

I really like Peter, I also love John and Andrew too which have the same sort of timeless classic feel to them.

Jooni · 11/09/2017 13:48

I really like it. It's traditional, strong but not macho, not overused. I don't really like Pete, however.

Lemondrop99 · 11/09/2017 14:43

I also think it's a classic name like James, Christopher, Edward, William - although it has fallen out of favour recently.

I don't think it's dated though. Dates names make me think of Malcolm, Roy and Derrick

Nice enough name. Go for it

I love it. I would have given it to one of my own sons except then their name would have been Peter (middle name) Pan.....(our last name starts with pan)

Thank you everyone!

Love it, definitely due a comeback!

Buntysoven · 11/09/2017 23:21

I love it. Clean crisp and classic. What's not to like? Know a 17 year old Peter who had never had his name shorterned.

BikeRunSki · 11/09/2017 23:28

My DS's (9) middle name too. Named after my lovely uncle.

PrincessPlod · 11/09/2017 23:34

My dad's name and someone I worked with who turned out to be a kiddie fiddler so mixed feelings.

isittheholidaysyet · 11/09/2017 23:36

Peter. Yes I hadn't realised that it's gone out of fashion, but I still like it (and Pete).

If Ernest, Albert, and Edith can come back, Peter definitely can.

SarahBeeney · 11/09/2017 23:58

I think it's lovely.

jen03 · 12/09/2017 00:36

Thank you for your honest opinion! What would you name a baby brother to Jakob, Matthew and Andrew?

I like it. Classic, and due a comeback. Much prefer it to all the Alfies, Teddies, etc.

CakeRattleandRoll · 12/09/2017 10:01

Love it. Agree that it is a classic, not dated. It fits very well with his brothers' names.

mylaptopismylapdog · 12/09/2017 10:08

Always liked it,traditional short and easy to spell.

jen03 · 12/09/2017 19:32
