Ok, I like the name -Blu as a second name.
My ideas are..
Harper-Blu or Delilah-Blu?
Yes, I know it's a bit out there. But I like it.

Also, the best advice I've ever seen when naming babies is to introduce yourself to people as that name and see how it makes you feel. If you cringe saying it then don't saddle your child with it.

We know of a baby born who's been named Blossom. It might be a pretty word but it's not a name and I can guarantee if the mother introduced herself as that name all day long she'd realise what a terrible choice it was

flumpybear · 11/09/2017 14:02

Aria blu foes in the same stable as
Shaun Lamb
Ben Dover
Mike hunt

If this isn't a wind up please don't label your child with a crazy name Hmm

Only1scoop · 11/09/2017 14:04

Or
'Judge ....-Blu Residing'

Maybe she will marry a Mr Green and want to be all traditional, and use his name

Only1scoop · 11/09/2017 14:05

Will you use it in 'full' Op

With the ....erm hyphenated bit

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 11/09/2017 14:14

Op I don't think you should have taken that E (off)

MyBrilliantDisguise · 11/09/2017 14:17

I had a student called John-Paul and when he was telling me his name (I was writing on a list) he said "John little line Paul."

So all I can say is if you are going to have a misspelled name for your daughter, at least tell her what a hyphen is.

Footle · 11/09/2017 14:56

MyBrilliant, isn't it more likely that he did know the right word , but came across a lot of people who didn't?

MyBrilliantDisguise · 11/09/2017 14:58

No, Footle, when I said, "Do you mean a hyphen?" he said, "What? No, a little line!"

Pottytoes · 11/09/2017 14:59

Keri-blu
Cornflower-blu

OrgyofSausages · 11/09/2017 15:55

Awful. Blue is also used as an adjective to mean pornographic or overtly sexual.

So how about Porno - Blu ?

Topseyt · 11/09/2017 16:31

Blue movie.

umbongokid · 11/09/2017 16:33

Got to agree with the loo cleaner comment sorry. Blush

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 11/09/2017 20:05

Song sung?

hippyhippyshake · 11/09/2017 20:20

Farrah-blu? It's rather unique

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 11/09/2017 20:24

TitilatedOcelot, you get my nomination for MN comment of the week (and it's only Monday).

"Songsung? Might be a bit common though, apparently everybody knows one."

Grin Grin Grin

For you and DameDiazepam, here's The Diamond himself...

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 11/09/2017 20:26

Hoppinggreen · 11/09/2017 20:55

To me blu would be pronounced " bluh " not blue, which makes it even worse

ScarlettOH · 11/09/2017 20:58

Aria Blue Lexy 😂😂😂

I hope when she has her first baby at the age of 12 she picks a better name for your grandchild

Fandabidozy · 11/09/2017 20:58

So on another thread the OP thought Alana was inappropriate because of how it reads backwards...

But thinks the use of Blu, which incidentally is actually associated with smutty stuff in its actual form well when it's spelt right, is fine. To quote the OP "...um" Wink

GinIsIn · 11/09/2017 21:08

OP are you feeling quite well? You've started about 6 threads about this today with names ranging from Rylee and Aria-Blu to Olivia and Annabel.... Hmm

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 11/09/2017 21:50

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap

I skimmed and didn't realise it had already been mentioned, looking back I realise it like I am questioning it.One of my favourites Smile

SequinsOnEverything · 11/09/2017 22:59

Obv Tiffany-Blu is the classiest name!

I agree wih a pp who said Blu with no e would be pronounced Bluh. Why do that to your child?

MrsEricBana · 11/09/2017 23:10

Gotta be Hague-Blu. So now.

Jellybeans90 · 11/09/2017 23:16

I don't like this name now
