Am i crazy for liking this for a girl? Obviously there is drew barrymore but is it acceptable as a girls name? What does everyone think?

It is a unisex name, but I find it very strong and masculine.

Rainbowqueeen · 10/09/2017 10:14

I would assume boy too.

BroomstickOfLove · 10/09/2017 10:20

I know two, one who's actually a (male) Andrew, and a girl who has "Drew" on her birth certificate. As girl Drew is looking very and male Drew much less so, I prefer it as a girls' names.

BroomstickOfLove · 10/09/2017 10:22

Have virus and failed to proofread. Girl Drew is lovely. And the "names" at the end should be "name".

loobybear · 10/09/2017 10:23

I'm not a huge fan of unisex names but I really like Drew for a girl!

Yourshakraishangingout · 10/09/2017 10:59

I don't usually like unisex names but I actually really like Drew for a girl!

Sophronia · 10/09/2017 11:43

I don't mind it for a girl.

willajon · 10/09/2017 14:17

Of course it's a girls name! Drew Barrimore springs to mind. I can't see it used for a boy.

MammieBear · 10/09/2017 14:26

It works for Drew barrymore...

willajon · 10/09/2017 17:06

I love Drew for a girl. Great name!

willajon · 10/09/2017 18:35

I'm slightly worried its too "american" for the UK? Or am i just overthinking?

I know one, it's spelled Dru. Much prefer the Drew spelling though, and I adore Barrymore so I think it's a good'un.

MikeUniformMike · 10/09/2017 20:12

I quite like it. I'd think of it as a girl's name.

I think it's lovely

Namechangeblock · 10/09/2017 21:10

I know a 12 year old, female Drew. She doesn't appear to get any stick for it and it suits her.

Hugomcwooferton · 11/09/2017 00:29

I went to school with a Drew, she's force to be reckoned with! Any stuck about her name and she'd beat them up!

BrutusMcDogface · 11/09/2017 00:33

Oh I love it!

Llamacorn · 11/09/2017 00:33

Dd1 has Drew as a middle name, I do sometimes wish I would have been braver and used it as her first name as I do still really like it. She has a very short first name and sometimes introduces herself with both.

NorthernLurker · 11/09/2017 00:40

I know one. It's a lovely name.

willajon · 11/09/2017 14:08

Thanks guys, any middle name suggestions?Smile

Blood?

Alisvolatpropiis · 12/09/2017 13:49

I'd go Druscilla and nickname her Dru. Just because I really liked Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I was younger Grin
