I think they meant without the T - Na-a-lee. Which is how it would be pronounced where I live. Awful!

Of the two, I prefer Natalia, but as an alternative, I like Natasha. You don't hear that much nowadays.

For what it's worth, I don't think the shortening to Nat is inevitable- I know a grown up Natalie who goes by her full name, she tells people she prefers it so that's what we call her.

The reason I've asked to vote is that I hate when people pronounce my daughter's name "NAD-a-lie." or NAT-ə-lee...
My daughter is now 10 months old and it bothers me so much when people don't pronounce the second a.. i have a Spanish and polish friend and they pronounce it beautifulyI still think Natalie is a bit cuter but only when pronounced in a correct way
