Leonard would be on the BC.

Thoughts?

I know a young Lenny and I really like it now!

Love it. I know a Leonard (11) who is always known as Leon, and a Leonard who is usually Lenny or Leonard (6).

Leon or Leo are good nicknames for Leonard. Lenny sounds girly to my ears, maybe because I know a Leni.

Oh, Lenny is so cute!! Do it! Lovely to hear a different name!

Lenny = Of Mice and Men, sorry.

I know a little one, not short for anything. I don't like it at all unfortunately (although that may be coloured by the fact he's a bit of a bully!)

Of Mice and Men. All negative connotations with the name and a lifetime of easy jokes at his expense.

I associate it with of Mice and Men. Round here I've heard people use it as a mild insult or to describe themselves if they've done something silly. "I'm such a Lenny"

Love Lenny. Sounds very cheerful. Good choice though to have Leonard, then can have both Lenny and Leo.

To me it's associated with Leonard from The Big Bang Theory and Lenny from the Simpsons.

One good, one bad.

It would make me think of iconic novel 'Of Mice and Men'

I was told by a doting grandfather that the latest baby was being called after the Canadian singer who had recently died.

I said "oh Leonard that's a nice name". The response was - no the baby is going to be called Cohen!

Not keen but I've heard a lot worse.
