I have always loved this name but unfortunately Amazon Alexa has come along and so im hesitant to go with it. Im not keen on Alexis or Alexandra etc. Do you think i should just go with it, or will it be mocked or cause confusion at home or other peoples houses?Hmmxx

It was a name long before Amazon tried to steal it for a household appliance just as Henry was, go for it and if it bothers you just put Alexandra on the BC to give you and Daughter more options.

I wouldn't be able to resist asking her to play my rainy day play list or add bananas to my shopping list if she came over.

Alexandra is a much nicer name but honestly I don't think you should let a piece of tech cloud your thoughts on this.

Here's an article from the Seattle Times, about four Seattle women called Alexa, and how they feel about it...

I think it is fine. I have an Amazon Alexa and I changed its name. Lots of people change the name of them because they have an Alexa family member!

A friend has a daughter called Siri, she's an adult now but has got sick of people asking her questions because 'Siri always can answer questions' and comments about her living in their iphone when she was a teen.

Alexa is fine, or if you're looking for alternatives, what about Alyssa, Sophia, Louisa?
