She's 4 weeks old Shock

Names I like:

  • Maddie (I'm not keen on Madeleine and people judge Madison)
  • Olivia (so overused)
  • Grace (do people find it boring?)
  • Autumn (I love this, but I don't really feel like it's a name!)

Love the name Autumn !!!!

AgainReally · 26/08/2017 14:36

Autumn is lovely but she was born in July.

The other 3 are pretty and popular, which I don't have an issue with.

thepatchworkcat · 26/08/2017 14:37

I think Olivia and Grace really are overused at the moment. I really like Autumn! Never met an Autumn before. I like Madeleine/Maddie but it does always make me think of Maddie McCann now unfortunately.

MikeUniformMike · 26/08/2017 14:38

Summer?

Of your suggestions, I much prefer Autumn. Maddie, Grace and Olivia are overused IMO. All nice names but too popular.

Autumn is a lovely name!

early30smum · 26/08/2017 15:07

I like all of them. What about Livia instead of Olivia? Less popular and more interesting (IMO) and you can get the cool nn Liv?

Rockandrollwithit · 26/08/2017 15:15

I love Autumn

Peppaismysaviour · 26/08/2017 15:17

Livvy or Libby instead of Olivia if you are concerned it's too popular but gives similar feel?

Minstrelsareyum · 26/08/2017 15:17

Op you've said you only like Autumn and given reasons for not liking the others. I reckon you've answered your own question!Autumn is a beautiful, uncommon name. It's lovely.

PeachIcedT · 26/08/2017 15:32

Autumn is lovely and definitely a name. Also, for something with an 'Au' beginning and the flow of Olivia, you could consider Aurelia?

IndianaMoleWoman · 26/08/2017 15:37

All of your names are lovely, but like all the seasonal names (April/June/Summer) the questions about when she was born might get tedious if you go with Autumn.

What about Aubrey? Aurelia? Or a July-appropriate name - Julia is beautiful, or Juliet?

LorLorr2 · 26/08/2017 15:39

No Grace isn't boring!
If not Maddie, any thoughts on Maya or Molly?

SerfTerf · 26/08/2017 15:40

Mathilda/ Mattie?

YouRat · 26/08/2017 15:40

Love Autumn

HeteronormativeHaybales · 26/08/2017 15:48

I can't get with 'seasonal' names at all, despite the recent fad for them (and tbh I think they will date, every bit as much as Olivia, Grace et al, which - I'm sorry - are indeed virtually generic atm). How about Rowan or Hazel?

Turquoise0wl · 26/08/2017 15:51

@HeteronormativeHaybales - I'd say Rowan falls into that category more so than Grace...

SophieLouiseKnight · 26/08/2017 15:52

I like Aubrey and Matilda Smile thanks all!

Here are some alternatives for the names you like but have issues with....
Autumn - Summer as this was the month she was born
Grace - Gracie is far less common would you believe
Olivia - Olive, Odette and Ophelia
Madeleine/Madison - Adeline

17caterpillars1mouse · 26/08/2017 17:02

Grace

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 26/08/2017 18:29

Matilda Grace is lovely !

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 26/08/2017 19:09

bridgetreilly · 26/08/2017 20:49

I prefer Aurora and Audrey to either Autumn or Aubrey.

buttercup54321 · 27/08/2017 00:26
