I really love the name Thaddeus (yes I know about AHS) but every person I know has said it's hideous. Is it?

Nope, not to my taste.

JapaneseTea · 26/08/2017 21:04

Yes

hollyisalovelyname · 26/08/2017 21:16

It's shortened to Thady in Ireland.
Pronounced Taydee.
It's nice.
There's a song called 'The Bold Thady Quinn'
I have no idea what the words of it are so forgive me if it insults anybody.

Terrible

I meant they expected him to be Greek, from Greece

I'm not a big fan but I do know someone called Taddy.

I like OT but it is very close to Teddy.
But then my name list was Gideon, Xavier, Zachariah and Ezekiel so I clearly like ssomething's a little left of centre

I have met one adult Thaddeus and think it's pretty cool. Might get a few raised eyebrows depending on the circles you move in!

I really like Thaddeus - it's a good, strong name. Wish I were brave enough to pull this off! Grin

daisypond · 14/10/2017 10:44

I think it's fine. I don't think it's way out in the least. It's an old name, just not very common these days.

Mulch · 14/10/2017 10:45

I just love it

NinonDeLenclos · 14/10/2017 12:17

Love it. Really dislike ordinary names.
