Had every intention of calling our baby girl Jasmine until today my DP said, how about Darcey! Shock I love it!!

Which do you prefer?

Of the two, Jasmine is preferable. I feel like it's less likely to pigeonhole someone into a particular age or social group than Darcey, which is a bit trendy at the moment.

Jayd is a name (Jade) the spelling is close to home for me as it's the name of my cousin who died many years ago in a car accident.

Anything is a name if it's what the parent chooses to call their child!

DP likes Darcey Grace which I think is lovely but always liked the idea of Jasmine Jayd before I was even pregnant

Jasmine. I don't like Darcy, it sounds masculine and reminds me of Mr Darcy too.

If it's between Darcey Grace and Jasmine Jayd, I'd choose Darcey Grace.

Prefer the spelling Darcy though.

Darcey Grace definitely - I like Jasmine too but really like the juxtaposition between a slightly masculine Darcey and the graceful Grace.

Darcey was my first choice for a girl but DH vetoed and we had two boys in any event, and it didn't go well with our surname.

Was coming on to say Darcey Jayd sounds prettier, but see you have gone for Jasmine Rose. That is a lovely combination, it honours your cousin, and I love that both are flower names. Sounds like you are sorted!
