Love Marigold and Jocelyn from your girls list. Really like Maxwell from your boys list. Monty can be a lovely shortening for Montague (my great uncle's name!) if you don't like Montgomery.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/07/2017 09:13

I adore Celeste.
Maxwell/love Max.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/07/2017 09:15

Monty can also be a shortening for Montgomery or Beaumont.

Liadain · 30/07/2017 10:08

Marin is lovely.
Marigold is a bit too cleaning products/Jacqueline Wilson for me.
I have taught two Jocelyns, maybe that's very unusual but something to keep in mind if you want unique.
Merrin - I'm with your dh.
Celeste - beautiful name.

Can't stand Fitz or Jenson. Joel is a great name. Maxwell - coffee and tbh, a bit bland. There are a zillion Max's, it's not rare.

Jooni · 30/07/2017 10:14

Merrin, Marin and Celeste are all lovely.

I'm not too keen on your boys' names I'm afraid. How about Ross, Joss, Jonty, Macsen, Levison, Niall, Reuel, Keir...?

DownUdderer · 30/07/2017 10:20

Joby

ilikepinacoladas · 30/07/2017 10:23

Oooh Thank you very much everyone. Lovely to hear and some good points! Niall Is now on the list and Montague is a definite consideration Smile

Cecily and Magnus?

ilikepinacoladas · 30/07/2017 12:58

I love them both! Unfortunately Magnus doesn't go with the surname but Cecily is a new contender

Edlyn (for a girl) is old English and means either noble or waterfall depending on your source.

For boys I can't use Aubin, Jory, Ansel or August and wish someone else would!

MammieBear · 31/07/2017 09:58

Luscinia meaning nightingale is a rare name.

RiverTam · 31/07/2017 10:04

Merrin/Merryn
Joel

manicinsomniac · 31/07/2017 11:07

CatInTheMat · 31/07/2017 11:18

I really like Jocelyn, not so keen on the rest.

Boys I really like Joel (must have a thing for Jo type names).

Fitzpatrick? Could be a bit surnamey though.

Birdsgottaf1y · 31/07/2017 11:45

Corinne is an old English name, possibly from Corina.

My youngest has a name from your list. She's only ever been the only one with it and loves it, at now nearly 20.

I like Monty.

CaptainWarbeck · 31/07/2017 11:48

Meryl?

ilikepinacoladas · 31/07/2017 12:01

Oh wow, thanks for all of the replys everyone! Some really great names! I think Verity is my all time favourite name but out surname starts with a D so I think the initials put me off!
Edlyn is a lovely suggestion but a bit too close to my daughter's name.
Corinne and Clarissa are now both on the list
Thanks again everyone all your opinions are very helpful

Verity is lovely, don't let the initials put you off, those days are gone.

ilikepinacoladas · 01/08/2017 20:25

Thank you Smile I will see about getting it back on the list

Corrina, Corrina,
Gal, where you been so long?
Corrina, Corrina,
Gal, where you been so long?
I been worryin' 'bout you, baby,
Baby, please come home.
I got a bird that whistles,
I got a bird that sings.
I got a bird that whistles,
I got a bird that sings.
But I ain't a-got Corrina,
Life don't mean a thing.
