Darthvadersmuuuum · 23/07/2017 08:42

Isn't it a word for marijuana (spelled Kaya)?

SuperBeagle · 23/07/2017 09:34

I commented on your other thread. Just reiterating that I like it. Grin

Wholivesinashoe · 23/07/2017 09:36

Ugh

Allthebestnamesareused · 23/07/2017 09:40

Its the name of one of Kim Zolciak's daughters so as long as you don't mind that association. I like it.

TheNumberfaker · 23/07/2017 09:42

Needs at least one more consonant IMO.

bumpertobumper · 23/07/2017 09:48

I used to know a woman called kaia. In her forties now. A kind funny and beautiful hot shot lawyer.
I think it's a lovely name.

ConstanceCraving · 23/07/2017 09:49

Mamabear4180 · 23/07/2017 20:53

I like it and it's on my list too

Liara · 23/07/2017 20:55

Would have been ds1's name if he had been a girl.

Floellabella · 23/07/2017 20:58

It's pretty enough but isn't it just like lots of other names like Maia, Maya, Kaya, Aiya, Aliya, Niah, Mia etc etc? By which I mean it's not very distinctive and quite a modern phenomenon of putting lots of vowels together. But if that doesn't bother you then it's perfectly pleasant!

RickOShay · 23/07/2017 21:02

I don't think it is a new name. I have a cousin in her fifties called Kaia, and I have always liked it.

missfussypants · 23/07/2017 21:11

I am also worried that people will think it is made up / modern or trendy. Can anyone suggest any other names i may like?

OP posts:
Kazzawazza69 · 23/07/2017 22:01

I like it.

RickOShay · 23/07/2017 22:11

Nina

Dulcie

Tamsin

Cora

picknmiss · 23/07/2017 22:13

I like it! Kaya is Malaysian coconut jam btw, which is delicious so not a bad thing Smile

user1471547428 · 24/07/2017 20:19

I like it. I also know a male Kaya.
If you're worried about it, perhaps Kiera which sounds quite similar?

Soubriquet · 24/07/2017 20:22

I know a little girl called Kaya

Only problem is mum sometimes has to correct people's pronounciation as they say Kay- ah instead of Kaya (like Kayak without the K as she says)
