We're stuck for names for DC3, who is a boy. He has 2 sisters, both with 3 syllable French names.

Here's the current list, we both have issues with the other's favourites so wondering what your opinions are!

Montgomery (Monty)
Louis
Jude
Caspian
Daniel
Oscar
Charlie (not with Oscar 😂 also not keen on Charles but girls both have longer names on b/c)
Toby
Teddy (again not keen on longer versions)
Reuben

Thank you!

I like Louis and Daniel best. Daniel is very timeless.

Raphael?

Thanks for recent replies.

Why thank you, auntym (good name there yourself!)

Yika, I LOVE Raphael, but Raffy (and also Rafferty) sounds hilarious with our surname, which is why it's not on the list Sad

Louis or Caspian are lovely!

Loads of Teddys and Tobys around at the moment, so I would avoid personally...

BikeRunSki · 19/07/2017 20:34

Louis is my favourite

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 19/07/2017 20:37

Louis. Gorgeous name.

SleepFreeZone · 19/07/2017 20:55

Awww I have a Toby (Tobias) and where we live it's the name of choice for spaniels.

MoHunter · 19/07/2017 21:01

LOL, our DS2 is called Louis so it's definitely a lovely name. :) Be prepared for some people to not know how to spell it though or to pronounce it "Lewis"! (I still don't regret using it myself.)
I also like Jude from your list.

Monty/Montgomery is very posh and Oscar and Charlie are very popular which would make me rule them out personally.

ladybirdsaredotty · 20/07/2017 09:09

Thank you for the replies, they're really helping! And to those of you with sons with names on my list, GOOD CHOICE! Grin

MoHunter thank you. I have thought about the fact that some will pronounce it 'Lewis' but like you I love the name enough to go with it anyway! Jude is my other favourite on the list Smile. And those are basically my feelings about Montgomery, Oscar and Charlie, too!

If it was just my decision I'd go with Louis or Jude, I think...

I would say Monty or Louis (both on my list too!)

Montgomery - really not a fan of this

Louis - meh.

Jude - this name really grates on me for some reason. Not sure why. The sound always seems too similar to Jew for me, as well.

Caspian - Narnia is my first thought. Not a fan.

Daniel - love this one.

Oscar - I do like Oscar. I know it's very popular but as a teacher I never seem to run into them.

Charlie - nice name but there are a lot of them!

Toby - grand. Also quite a few Toby's in schools these days.

Teddy - mm, cute as a nickname but not feeling it on it's own. So no.

Reuben - grand.

Great names! I love Louis, Jude and Daniel, especially Louis. I am struggling for a girls name for dc3. As you are good at this, could you pm me your girls names please???
