Would make me go Hmm, but then a lot of names do. Certainly won't find another, but it's pretty bad

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 08/07/2017 09:01

If you like the nn Brice why not just go for that?
Brice I really like.

Bricius sound like a minor character in Gladiator

ladyyyglittersparkles · 08/07/2017 09:14

My friend has a Brice. One of his parents is French and one English

SirNiallDementia · 08/07/2017 09:20

Sounds horrible however you pronounce it and the poor kid will be forever having to spell out and explain his name.

Are there any other names you like?

MyFavouriteName · 08/07/2017 09:24

Just use Brice.

tomatopuree · 08/07/2017 09:26

I love the name. No need to be rude. If you don't like it then feel free to not be quite so rude

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 08/07/2017 09:30

I don't like it, sorry. It's not a name I'd heard of before.
What are your reasons for choosing it?
I think he will have trouble getting people to spell and and pronounce it correctly.
When I saw it written down, I thought it would be pronounced Brih-shus.

I like Bryce in its own right.

It's s strong underused name.

RortyCrankle · 08/07/2017 16:34

It's really awful and obviously strongly underused because its so awful.

SleepFreeZone · 08/07/2017 16:35

I have to agree with the comment that it's a wacky name contest nowadays. What is wrong with names that people have heard of?

user1471445944 · 08/07/2017 16:48

Bryce could be good but it feels like a proper grown up name. Bricius is surely a roman soldiers name and tough to carry off i reckon.

ArsenicNLace · 08/07/2017 16:49

Awful. Made me immediately think 'Bricky Arse' and once one child has clicked onto that that is what he wiil be known as.

Not overly keen on Brice but at least it it's a 'proper name' albeit American.

sodabreadjam · 08/07/2017 17:01

Unless you move amongst Latin scholars you have little chance of your DS having his name pronounced correctly. Just call him Brice, or preferably, Bryce.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 08/07/2017 17:10

I prefer Bryce too, or even better, Bruce.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 08/07/2017 20:18

I like Bryce. Unusual but easy to remember, cool and crisp. Bryce Canyon is an amazing place too!

Umpteenthnamechange · 08/07/2017 20:22

Just awful. The poor kid

TipTop333 · 09/07/2017 07:21

Brice Brice baby

RelaxMax · 09/07/2017 07:25

How about Cassius? Similar but easier to pronounce.

MikeUniformMike · 09/07/2017 13:35

Bricius is awful. If I saw it I would think it rhymes with Vicious so maybe it is quite cool.

Bruce or Bryce are OK. I quite like Brutus if you want a roman sounding name.

EssentialHummus · 09/07/2017 13:44

I don't like it or the nn. Sorry OP. What do you like about it, what style of name are you aiming for?

Morecoffeeurgently · 09/07/2017 13:56

Sorry, not at all keen. Sounds like a genus of shrub.

TurquoiseOwl · 09/07/2017 14:01

Please don't! It isn't a very nice name Sad I do like Bryce though (I know 1 in the USA) Smile

Kazzawazza69 · 09/07/2017 14:08

I don't like it - I agree with the comment about it sounding like a roman gladiator. Brice is nice enough though.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 09/07/2017 14:22

Yeah... I don't think the OP's coming back.
