April as I wouldn't like Vi as a shortened version.

Of the two, I prefer Violet.

Giantwhoopsie · 03/07/2017 14:42

Love Violet, it was on my list. I keep hearing it's becoming really popular but I have two children under two and I'm yet to meet a little Violet. Ava, Isla, Ivy all seem very popular atm.

Not keen on April.

Also not keen on Viola, I just hear Vulva :)

Lemondrop99 · 03/07/2017 18:27

April. It's so pretty

Violet seeks on track to become the next Ava. Bit faddy and not as pretty as April.

Babbitywabbit · 03/07/2017 21:15

April

Violet will inevitably become Vi which is just awful. I'm another who also misreads the full name as Violent which is another reason against it.

leccybill · 03/07/2017 21:46

I know an April who gets called Apes though. Something to consider.

Chloris33 · 03/07/2017 22:08

I like April, also Avril, both vetoed by DH. I do quite like Violet, too, but it's quite close to 'violent' in my mind.

tay555 · 03/07/2017 22:17

I guess Apes and Vi could both be corrected

Violet always. Definitely not a fan of April.

April.

I can't get past thinking 'violent' when I hear Violet.

I like April. Not keen on Violet because I hate the colour!
