We already have a Zachariah nn Zach. What should DS2 be from the above?

Idris.

Idris.

Gutted that I didn't get to use it (dh wasn't convinced.... and then dc2 turned out to be a girl anyway).

Idris is cool. Would it bother you if some people weren't sure whether to pronounce it i-driss or eye-driss?

Whatsthekey · 29/06/2017 09:52

I think we are definitely going to go with Idris. My only hesitation is that i don't want people to shorten it to Idi whereas i quite like Eli as a nickname for Elijah.

Idris! Definitely.

I don't like Elijah and the nickname Eli can be mispronounced as Elli...

noodlebum · 29/06/2017 11:16

I like both names, although I do like Elijah ever so slightly more :)

Good choice!

Idris or Elijah

^ Oh, God, sorry, OP,
That was meant to be a still pic not a moving gif... Confused

KoalaDownUnder · 30/06/2017 04:55

Is Idris pronounced with a long or short 'i'? 'Id' or 'Eed'? I'm never sure!

AppleDragon · 30/06/2017 05:28

I have an Idris! You won't regret it.

Whatsthekey · 30/06/2017 09:10

Koala, it's with a short I so Id.

We still haven't 100% agreed on it so haven't announced but are trying it out on DS for a couple of days ourselves to see if it suits him.
